There’s something for everyone in the Florida Keys: lazy fishing trips, diving adventures, biking through Old Town and boozing in Key West. The abundant sunshine, beaches and famously laid-back attitude has created what has become known as Keys Disease — ask many of the residents how they ended up in the Keys and the answer is generally a variation of “I came on vacation and never wanted to leave.” The chain of islands starting just south of Miami and extending over 100 miles to Key West has only one road (Overseas Highway) and more water than land. All you need is a taste for fresh fish and a pretty sunset and you’re good to go.
