The estate sprawls across 23 acres nudging a jungle-covered riverbank where you can find a natural spring locally revered for its healing properties.

It takes a personalized approach to health with resident experts, including a yoga and Pilates instructor, an Ayurvedic doctor and Oriental medicine masters in tai chi, qigong and other martial arts.

The purposeful healing programs are complemented by state-of-the-art facilities, including a vitality pool with underwater soaking jet beds, beautiful outdoor treatment areas overlooking the Ayung River, nine indoor treatment rooms and a Pilates studio.

  • All the pools at the Bali resort are spring fed, allowing for healing and soothing, which will leave your skin feeling super silky.
  • The luxury hotel offers two delicious onsite dining options (Glow and Kudus House), but nutritionists can also tailor an eating plan to your wellness goals, whether you’re look to detox or re-energize.
  • Even if you don’t sign up for a particular program, you can join in on fitness classes, mountain biking, rock climbing, outdoor tennis, hiking and local museum and gallery visits.
  • You can choose from several specific programs led by expert consultants to achieve your personal wellness goals, including an active program, a cleanse and an Ayurvedic program focused on yoga and meditation.
  • Other programs include a rejuvenation-minded plan that encompasses beauty and spa treatments; a stress management curriculum; and an Oriental-themed plan to focus on wellness through acupuncture, herbal medicine, qigong and meditation.
Things to Know
  • If you’re not exactly sure what your wellness goals are, opt for the Ayurvedic Program. It can include a detox, a series of body treatments, a special diet set, yoga and meditation.
  • During the Cleanse Program you’ll learn about improving your lymphatic circulation and detoxifying the liver, kidneys and skin, plus develop a plan to improve your overall health.
  • Expert consultants and therapists at the Bali resort have more than eight specializations, including Ayurveda, reflexology, yoga, Pilates, nutrition and Oriental medicine.
The Rooms
  • The 30 suites and villas are spread out across the estate and nudge up to the dense jungle.
  • The design of the villas and suites, created by architect Cheong Yew-Kuan, incorporates an authentic Indonesian style with natural sweeping roofs and carved stone.
  • All of the suites are found in the five uniquely themed residences. These residences (all with pools) can be booked for up to 16 guests, an ideal choice for family travel or larger groups.
  • The nine villas are freestanding accommodations, some with private pools.
The Restaurants
  • There are two restaurants at the Bali hotel, Glow and Kudus House. Glow is open all day long and features vibrant, health-conscious eats.
  • Kudus House, located in a 150-yea-old residence, is open for breakfast and dinner and serves a wide variety of authentic Indonesian dishes.
  • Favorite health-conscious plates include the spicy young coconut noodle and vegetable salad, meatball soup with egg glass noodles and spinach, and zucchini lasagna with basil and semi-dried tomato with pine nut cheese.
  • Sunday brunch is a languid, informal affair where you are treated to the estate’s organically grown ingredients and a lavish feast fit for a (health-conscious) king. Decadent dishes include lobster, chicken and spinach shumai dumplings and grilled king fish with tomato and lemon basil.
