The Ritz-Carlton, Denver
Mile-high luxury with mountain views
VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star
These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.
Recommended

The Ritz-Carlton, Denver opened its doors in the beginning of 2008 and proved to be a luxe, stylish addition to the city. Recently, under the guidance of designer Hirsch Bedner, the hotel revitalized its guest rooms, pulling in airy shades of blue, cream and light beige to lighten and give spaces a fresh look, not unlike the blue skies and white-capped Rocky Mountains that can bee seen in the distance.
And just because rugged landscape is nearby, don’t expect any skimping on the amenities here — this place has all the trappings of big-city luxury hotels including a top-notch steakhouse, locally inspired spa treatments and lavish in-room amenities.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- Book the Club Level rooms to take advantage of the relaxing, exclusive lounge which offers continuous food and beverages, a light breakfast, lunch and dinner and, maybe the most important of all, a dedicated concierge staff.
- The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver offers more than 6,000 square feet of tranquil space inspired by Colorado’s natural beauty. If the scenery takes your breath away, opt for the newly introduced Intraceuticals Oxygen Peptide Lift Facial, an 80-minute treatment designed to both brighten travel-weary skin and help you acclimate to The Mile High City's altitude.
- Helmed by newly appointed executive chef Michael Poompan, Elway's is the property's signature high-end steakhouse named for the famed and much-loved Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway.
- A brand-new 2,229-square-foot fitness center ensures that you can maintain your workout routine during your stay.
- You can catch the big game almost anywhere in the hotel. You’ll enjoy full access to NFL’s Sunday Ticket in the bar and lounge.
Things to Know
- Keep in mind that when you view the towering building from the outside, you might notice a quirk in the property's height. The edifice housing The Ritz-Carlton, Denver has 37 stories, but only 14 of those floors belong to the Denver hotel.
- Little ones can enjoy some sumptuous pampering at the spa with a specialized kids menu including organic facials, formal hair styling and fruit-inspired mani/pedis.
- Thanks to executive chef Michael Poompan, the Denver hotel is implementing a property-wide campaign to reduce plastic waste.
The Rooms
- Each guest room features a five-fixture, marble-accented bathroom complete with a deep bathtub and, in some, a Jacuzzi tub.
- All rooms also offer 400-thread-count Frette linens, a Nespresso coffee and tea maker, plush Frette terry robes and overhead reading lights on each side of the bed.
- Make sure to take a gander at the rug beneath your feet; with waves of beiges, blue and interesting textures, it gives off a topography vibe, almost as if you are looking down on the foothills near Denver.
- You might not be able to gaze at those natural wonders from above, but the view from the rooms does afford various sights of snow-topped mountains and the downtown area.
Nearby Attractions
- The Denver hotel also close to the hip RiNo (River North), a neighborhood where many of the hottest new restaurants, bars and breweries have popped up.
- Situated on the edge of downtown, The Ritz-Carlton, Denver's position proves great for those looking to wander around the city, catch a show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts, see the government buildings or head to the Denver Art Museum.
- Families will enjoy an outing to the nearby Denver Zoo (located at City Park) or to the Children’s Museum of Denver, where kids can enjoy story time readings to cooking classes and outdoor explorations.
- Foodies will want to head straight for the Union Station Farmers Market featuring local produce and other Colorado-crafted foods. Just up the street, enjoy a fruity brew at Stem Ciders or enjoy a wine tasting at Infinite Monkey Theorem.
