InterContinental Dubai Festival City

Quiet sophistication along Dubai Creek
VERIFIED LUXURY
Rising above the banks of Dubai Creek, InterContinental Dubai Festival City offers waterfront views and easy access to both historic neighborhoods and modern business districts. The contemporary high-rise is directly connected to Dubai Festival City Mall, creating a seamless blend of luxury accommodations, dining and shopping.

Inside, the hotel balances polished international style with subtle nods to its Middle Eastern setting. Floor-to-ceiling windows are a defining feature throughout the property, framing sweeping vistas of the creek dotted with abras (traditional wooden boats) and Dubai skyline. Accommodations are spacious and understated, while Club InterContinental adds exclusive lounge access and personalized service.

Dining is a standout, led by Pierre's TT, the waterfront restaurant from acclaimed French chef Pierre Gagnaire. Combined with a serene spa, a scenic outdoor pool and one of the city's most convenient creekside locations, the luxury hotel appeals to those seeking a quieter side of Dubai.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Clean, contemporary-chic style defines the 508 rooms at InterContinental Dubai Festival City. The views are the main attraction here — many rooms feature freestanding bathtubs positioned near large windows overlooking Dubai Creek or the skyline.
  • The temperature-controlled outdoor infinity pool features a glass bottom that appears to float above the fourth floor, giving the sense of swimming through the sky. Cabanas and swaying palms keep things grounded.
  • Brunch in Dubai is never a dull affair, and the InterContinental’s all-day dining restaurant Anise provides a particularly lively one. Eight live cooking stations, chocolate sculptures and a spread that spans the global palate are all regular offerings here.
  • The 10-room Spa InterContinental takes full advantage of the Dubai Creek views with floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with soft natural light. It’s the perfect accompaniment to Sothys Paris facials and hot stone massages.
  • Among the hotel’s six restaurants and bars, Pierre Gagnaire's Pierre's TT is the star. He puts a modern spin on French culinary traditions in dishes like blue lobster in a foamy licorice-scented butter with lobster bisque and tapioca pearls. If you can’t make dinner, try Gagnaire's Parisian afternoon tea at Choix TT.

Nearby Attractions

  • Connected to the luxury hotel, the sprawling Dubai Festival City Mall houses more than 400 stores, 50 restaurants and cafes — including the city’s largest food court — a movie theater and a 70,000-square-foot family entertainment center.
  • One of Dubai’s most distinctive public shows, IMAGINE at Festival Bay combines water jets, fire effects, lasers and projection mapping across the waterfront façade. It takes place in front of the Dubai hotel.
  • Get on the water. Take one of the abra boats that glide through Dubai Creek for a unique way to see the evolving skyline and experience a bit of local culture. The abras cross the water that separates the Bur Dubai and Deira neighborhoods.
  • A seasonal waterfront dining promenade along Dubai Creek, Marsa Boulevard typically returns during the cooler months with a rotating lineup of restaurants, cafés and open-air concepts designed for lingering evenings by the water. It’s a relaxed, pedestrian-friendly setting just a short walk or drive from the hotel.
  • Shaped like a traditional Islamic rehl, or book rest, and set along Dubai Creek, the striking Mohammed Bin Rashid Library houses nine specialized collections under one eco-conscious roof. Inside, a robotic retrieval system supports access to more than 1 million books, including rare manuscripts and historic texts.
