Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol

Understated elegance on the Sea of Cortez
VERIFIED LUXURY
At Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol, the Baja desert meets the Sea of Cortez. The journey begins in the tony Cabo del Sol enclave, along a winding drive framed by cacti and ocean views, leading to a modern sanctuary designed with understated elegance.

Inside Park Hyatt’s first Mexico hotel, natural stone, warm woods and open-air spaces draw the line between indoors and outdoors until it all blurs into one serene escape. From the infinity pool, the horizon stretches endlessly, while the crash of waves provides the soundtrack.

Days unfold at an unhurried pace, whether lingering over ceviche by the water, hitting the two nearby golf courses or retreating to a suite where floor-to-ceiling windows frame sunsets painted in molten gold. At every turn, the service is intuitive yet discreet, creating the sense that the resort anticipates your desires before you voice them.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Set directly on a two-mile stretch of golden Baja sand, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol gives you front-row seats to the Sea of Cortez. It’s one of the area’s few swimmable beaches.
  • Multiple tiered pools spill toward the horizon, making the line between water and sky almost disappear. Sip a refreshing cocktail at the beach club while the Pacific breeze cools your skin and whales breach in the distance (the latter happens from December to April).
  • The soon-to-open 59,000-square-foot wellness center will be one of the largest in the region. Offering rituals that draw on native botanicals and desert energy, the spa will be as much about spiritual renewal as physical restoration.
  • Designed by Sordo Madaleno, the Los Cabos hotel blends modern minimalism with raw Baja textures. Natural stone, sun-washed wood and vast open-air corridors invite the outdoors in.
  • At around 649 square feet, most rooms open via terraces to resort or ocean views and combine airy modern lines with luxe touches — think soaking tubs, walk-in rain showers, 55-inch TVs with Chromecast and patios designed for sunset watching. Some suites come with the bonus of an outdoor plunge pool.

The Restaurants

  • Modern Mediterranean meets Mexico at Silán, where Baja ingredients are transformed into flavorful North African and Middle Eastern dishes. A wine cellar stocked with Old World bottles and sunset views add to the elegant ambiance.
  • Breezy Mesa Madre serves homestyle Mexican cuisine inspired by abuela’s recipes. The light-filled, open-air space is perfect for a casual breakfast before the beach or a lively dinner with friends.
  • The Pool Bar and Pool Decks effortlessly ease from day to night thanks to atmospheric hanging lanterns and sunken fire pit lounges. Enjoy refreshing poolside cocktails in the afternoon, then wines by the glass and small plates after sundown.
  • Barefoot luxury is on full display at Costamar Beach Club. Dig into coastal California cuisine with your toes in the sand or enjoy cocktails served chairside.
  • The scent of freshly brewed coffee beckons you to Datil Coffee Shop, where artisan lattes, whole-leaf teas and delicate pastries offer a pick-me-up any time of day.
