Bvlgari Hotel Milan

A fashionable boutique hotel in Milan
VERIFIED LUXURY
When historic Italian jeweler Bvlgari expanded into hospitality in 2004, it chose Milan as the city to behold its vision. Under the five-story hotel's clean, black-and-white marble facade with black granite eaves and dyed oak frames, you will find opulence at every turn.

Crowned by a private 43,000-square-foot terraced garden — a rare commodity in downtown — Bvlgari Hotel Milan is tucked away on a private cul-de-sac steps from Via Monte Napoleone’s luxury shopping quarters. It is far from sleepy, though — fashionable patrons continue to populate the buzzy bar and restaurant.

For the property’s 10th anniversary, Italian architect and design team Citterio-Viel and Partners renovated all aesthetic aspects of the luxury hotel, from facade to foundation. Clad in rich natural materials, the contemporary interiors play to the strengths of the made-in-Italy design and craftsmanship.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The subterranean Bvlgari Hotel Spa is a lavish place to restore your equilibrium while staying in busy Milan. The main hall's rectangular swimming pool is tiled in gold and emerald Vicenza mosaics.
  • Nearby, you’ll encounter a new sauna and Turkish bath wrapped in green-tinted glass panes and furnished with Aphyon stone bench seats. An open-air lounge area has a four-person Jacuzzi and an intimate yoga pavilion.
  • The fitness center is lit by diffused, paneled lighting and boasts stylish, sleek Technogym and Citterio cardio and strength machines, such as a Kinesis rack, treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, wellness tools and weights.
  • In 2022, architect Flaviano Capriotti revamped the hotel’s penthouse suite. Boasting a living space featuring a fireplace, curated library, wrap-around terrace, full kitchen and a dining table underneath a 1960s Murano glass chandelier, the 2,400-square-foot suite is one of Milan’s most coveted stays.
  • At Il Ristorante-Niko Romito, dine on the chef's contemporary iterations of traditional Italian staples. Unique dishes, such as codfish, potato mayonnaise and bell peppers, and tortelli with ricotta cheese, spinach and "manteca" butter are available exclusively at the stylish Milan hotel.
Things to Know
  • Favorite guest spa treatments include the La Mer Bvlgari 80-minute facial, the four-hand massage administered by two therapists, and an 80-minute Balinese hot stone massage that includes a welcoming foot ritual and a warm oil massage.
  • In five private rooms (including a couples suite with its own sauna), modern treatments use beauty products from La Mer, organic brand Amala and a men’s line from Sothys.
  • Try the legendary Bvlgari Cocktail in The Dom Pérignon Lounge & Raw Bar, which features gin, aperol as well as fresh orange, pineapple and lime juices.
The Rooms
  • The 58 rooms are rendered in black Zimbabwe marble, Burmese teak and graphite-dyed, bleached oak, which all complement sleek new furniture from Antonio Citterio and B&B Italia.
  • Cream-colored linen wallpaper balances luxurious drapes by Enzo degli Angiuoni and rugs by Altai.
  • Superior, Deluxe and Premium accommodations all come with bathrooms with black granite tubs and white Navona travertine basins and showers.
  • Deluxe and Premium rooms have walk-in closets plus garden or courtyard views. Two Premium Suites provide garden vistas from their 645-square-foot terraces.
  • The private top floor is where you’ll find the fine Bvlgari Suite, which has a 969-square-foot, wrap-around terrace, a living room with a Brera stone fireplace, a library and a bathtub carved from a single block of Turkish Bihara stone.
The Restaurants
  • Il Ristorante-Niko Romito's space itself, as expected, is sleek and stunning. The restaurant's convex ceiling arches over a black resin terrace with elegant outdoor seating, abutting the rectangular garden — a monastery vegetable patch in its former incarnation that now blossoms with horse chestnut, white wisteria, camellias and magnolias.
  • Aperitivo can be taken at the chic Il Bar or the lobby lounge, anchored by a 15-ton, black Zimbabwe marble fireplace. Spirits, wines, herbal teas and infusions complement a small bar menu ranging from salads to hamburgers.
