Grand Hotel Parker's

A dose of Neapolitan glamour
VERIFIED LUXURY

Perched on a hillside in Naples’ charming Chiaia neighborhood, Grand Hotel Parker’s has stood watch over the Bay of Naples for more than 150 years. Established in 1870 as the city’s first luxury hotel, the historic landmark has long captivated illustrious guests with its stunning views, elegant accommodations and impeccable service.

Refreshed in 2023, the grande dame has been carefully restored to its 19th-century grandeur, blending Old World beauty with contemporary updates and modern amenities. Adding to its timeless appeal, Grand Hotel Parker’s is home to an internationally acclaimed restaurant and a gorgeous rooftop bar showcasing some of the most arresting views in Naples.

The rooms are enchanting, too. Guests can look forward to unwinding in cozy accommodations, including several duplex suites, where billowing drapes and period furniture create a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Hospitality is a hallmark at Grand Hotel Parker’s, where four generations of the Avallone family have welcomed guests like old friends. You’ll often spot the family members in the lobby, greeting guests and chatting with regulars.
  • While a bit removed from Naples’ main attractions, the hotel’s location provides a tranquil setting and added privacy — a boon for those seeking a more slow-paced experience.
  • Don’t miss aperitivo on the Bidder Terrace. Overlooking Naples’ terracotta rooftops, the shimmering bay and the mountains beyond, the all-day restaurant and bar offers refined takes on Neapolitan street food, seven types of spritzes and nearly 300 James Bond-inspired cocktails from the Bidder Bar - Bond Point 0025 menu.
  • Experience creative Neapolitan cuisine flavors and elegant interiors at George Restaurant, Grand Hotel Parker’s internationally acclaimed signature dining room.
  • Stepping into the hotel feels like a journey back in time with richly veined marble floors, oil paintings in gilded frames, crystal chandeliers and classical bronze statues evoking the property’s 19th-century heyday.

The Rooms

  • A refresh in 2023 reduced the room count to 67, enlarging the accommodations and incorporating Napoleonic-inspired furnishings, dazzling chandeliers and fine Italian marble for a more lavish feel.
  • All 67 rooms balance past and present with light wood floors, plush gray headboards and wingback chairs in contemporary shades of navy and slate.
  • The Deluxe Sea View rooms feature a Juliet balcony with panoramic Bay of Naples views. Heavy drapery adds a sumptuous feel while also blocking morning light for a restful stay.
  • The spacious Duplex Suites offer a historic-chic atmosphere, complete with a 19th-century-inspired living room bathed in natural light. A staircase leads to even more space to unwind, with a spacious bedroom and marble ensuite bathroom on the second floor.
