Our Inspector's Highlights

Built between 1913 and 1921, the palazzo has been thoughtfully reimagined by noted hospitality design studio GA. Historic mosaics, marble details and ornate cornices have been preserved— or painstakingly re-created— while contemporary hues, furnishings and artwork add warmth as well as a more residential atmosphere.
All 60 rooms and suites promise generous proportions, especially by Rome standards, offering sitting areas, marble bathrooms and crisp Frette linens. The 21 suites are particularly palatial.Once the bank's frescoed Council Chamber, the two-bedroom Theodoli Heritage Suite overlooks Palazzo Montecitorio and offers more than 1,600 square feet of living space.
Acclaimed Italian chef and former MasterChef Italia judgeCarlo Cracco oversees the luxury hotel’s dining, from the casual all-day menus at convivial Piazzetta to the seasonal fine-dining experience at Viride by Carlo Cracco. At the latter, expect contemporary Italian interpretations of Roman classics, such as rigatoni with truffle and blue starflowers to braised oxtail with cocoa and coriander.
Just off the main entrance, Ocra is a low-lit cocktail bar where ochre tones, leather barrel chairs andclassic aperitivo culture set the mood. The menu focuses on well-executed classics alongside signatures such as the Smokey Tometo, a Roman spin on the Bloody Mary, made with mezcal, Pachino cherry tomatoes, basil, lemon and cranberry.
Trading currency for calm, the underground vault now houses the spa, where Roman-inspired bathing rituals invite guests to slow down and unwind. Move between the vitality pools, steam room, sauna and ice fountain before indulging in a restorative treatment featuring botanical products from Tuscan skincare brand Seed to Skin or an innovative 111Skin facial.
