Forbes Travel Guide performs independent, incognito inspections of all hotels we rate. This is what we paid when we stayed at this hotel.

Rates can vary widely by room type and season. "We Paid" is intended to give a general sense of price, but you might find considerably different rates for your trip.

When we book, we aim for the optimum season for the destination, but we avoid holidays and major public events, when prices are highest. We generally book a room at one category up from the most basic.

We take advantage of promotional rates, when possible. That means the rate you see above might have included other benefits, such as spa or meal credits.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul calms the senses with earthy tones, while curved corridors with softly glowing glass panels inspired by ginkgo leaves lead to luxurious hydrothermal facilities and cocoon-like treatment rooms.
Even on its busiest days, the Istanbul spa feels like a private oasis thanks to its vast 38,000 square feet of space and thoughtfully designed layout, where 11 treatment rooms are seamlessly integrated into the organic, flowing architecture.
The spa’s two pools provide different atmospheres for post-treatment dips. Soak up the sun while overlooking the Bosphorus Strait by the 20-meter outdoor lap pool or hole up at the cavernous indoor pool for some solitude after your service.
A curated collection of treatments features world-class skincare products from renowned brands like Biologique Recherche, Dr. Barbara Sturm and Aromatherapy Associates.
For fitness enthusiasts, the spa includes a spacious, light-filled gym packed with Technogym cardio and weight equipment, a Pilates reformer studio, yoga sessions and a dedicated spinning room.

The Treatments

If you only try one treatment, make it the Sultan Hammam. This one-hour ritual combines a full-body scrub, massage and hydrating mask followed by a foot scrub and massage and a hair cleanse. After this deeply relaxing experience, you’ll feel thoroughly rejuvenated from top to toe.
For a high-tech facial option, try the Gharieni MLX Dome detox treatment. It’s a quick, 20- to 40-minute light therapy session designed for maximum benefits in minimal time — think improved circulation, wrinkle reduction and a natural endorphin boost.
Grab your better half to indulge in the three-hour Sultan Suite Experience for couples. During the royally relaxing treatment, you’ll experience a soak in an oil-infused Jacuzzi, a soothing aromatherapy massage and a facial.
