The Mauritius spa caters to all manner of wellness seekers with a wide range of offerings, from mindfulness massages to a sleep ritual, and specialty treatments for men, mothers-to-be, kids and teens.
The most beloved services are the exclusive 120-minute Only Here treatments, inspired by local traditions and indigenous ingredients. Try the chakra balancing ritual to release deep-seated tension and blocked energy with an exfoliation using local aloe vera and a full-body massage with mint and citronella essences and hot volcanic stones.
Try the Garden Hideaway for Two if you’re looking for an extra romantic escape. Head for the secluded outdoor spa pavilion — a quaint retreat nestled in tropical foliage, with a swing and lamp light at night — to indulge in a floral foot ritual, an aloe and apricot scrub, a stress-relieving rubdown, a scalp massage and a post-treatment mango and papaya platter.
Complimentary yoga and Pilates classes are held at the new open-air pavilion at Club One, where an alfresco bar serves juice and iced tea. For a more immersive experience, private yoga classes can be arranged in secluded spots around the resort.
Take to the seas during your spa day with a massage onboard Lady Lisbeth, a vintage boat built forQueen Elizabeth II. In addition to your tantalizing treatment, this private cruise includes a champagne picnic on a deserted beach and snorkeling in Mauritius’ crystal-clear waters.

Things to Know

Head to Club One for state-of-the-art fitness facilities. Train outdoors on the jungle-gym-like MyEquilibria or opt for more traditional workouts like kick boxing, Zumba or TRX training, invented by Navy Seals to keep troops fit in remote parts of the world.
The luxury spa provides a selection of three men’s services in the Only Him collection, including the 45-minute Mankind, a tension-relieving back, face and scalp massage.
Spa manager Marjorie Cesar, who previously worked at La Prairie, has been overseeing wellness and beauty at the Mauritius spa since 2000.

The Treatments

The popular Mauritian Fusion aromatherapy massage draws on ancient techniques practiced by Indo-Mauritian village ladies to ease muscular pain. A restorative warm herbal poultice of neem, tulsi, moringa and lemongrass is rubbed into exfoliated skin to soothe aches and leave you feeling renewed.
Essence of One&Only Le Saint Géran features a tropical body scrub using local coconut, honey and sugar from the cane fields, followed by a full-body massage with warm, nourishing oils to melt away stress and tension.
French women swear by Biologique Recherche, renowned Parisian makers of natural, fragrance-free facials that are tailor-made to your skin type. Anti-aging and sun protection varieties are both on offer here.
Visit the restorative Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio by Bastien Gonzalez for the VIP treatment — the revered French podiatrist and pedicurist’s celebrity clients include Robert De Niro, Gwyneth Paltrow and Naomi Campbell. Opt for the Bastien Duo, a four-handed mani/pedi that includes a massage for your feet, legs, hands and arms.
Designed for tiny travelers as young as six, Only For The New Generation treatments range from the Get Muddy head and shoulder massage for kids to boutique facials and henna designs for teens.

The Facilities

Made for lounging pre- or post-treatment, the decent-sized lap pool with shimmering blue tiles overlooks a white sand beach on the peaceful lagoon, with silhouettes of mountains across the serene water.
The spa’s rejuvenated facilities include a steam room and sauna (divided by gender) and experience showers with massage jets.
For those who like to do laps before breakfast, the tranquil spa pool opens at 7 a.m.
After a day at the beach, a revitalizing Kérastase ritual at the One&Only Hair Salon diagnoses which products are best suited to your hair type, resulting in visibly more luscious locks by dinner.
