The Marylebone

A chic stay in a well-heeled London village
VERIFIED LUXURY

The Marylebone hotel is a far cry from your typical capital city lodging. In fact, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the city at all. The property is tucked away behind the charming boutiques and cute cafés of stylish Marylebone Village. You’re still just a short walk from the bustling Bond Street and the West End, so there’s plenty to eat, see, do and explore without even having to hop in a taxi.

Inside the hotel, the mosaic-embellished lobby sets the mood for the rest of your stay with a subtle sense of glamour that’s both contemporary and timeless. Just beyond, the art-deco The Cocktail Bar invites you to unwind in its inviting nooks. The hotel has 248 sleek, modern rooms and suites, including three of the latter that have stunning rooftop terraces — an idyllic option on a sunny London day. In the accommodations, a neutral palette is offset with striking furnishings and deep-toned mahogany wardrobes. Roberts radios, wet bars and Nespresso machines add functional and homely touches.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The London hotel’s décor is inspired by the four seasons, from the uplifting summer terrace, which offers an indoor-outdoor feel year-round, to the cozy winter lounge with a roaring fireplace and rich mohair.
  • The Marylebone Suite stands out as the hotel's most impressive overnight offering. Spanning 1,292 square feet, it is artfully designed with cloud-like sofas, an elegant fireplace and dining area. The highlight of the space is the Scandinavian-style cedar-clad terrace with a retractable roof, outdoor television and fireplace, allowing you to take in the stunning London skyline in style.
  • No matter the room category, the bathrooms are gorgeous. They’re resplendent in Italian marble with heated floors and Malin+Goetz products.
  • At one corner of The Marylebone is 108 Brasserie, a Parisian-like haunt that spills out onto the pretty cobbles of Marylebone Lane. It’s a lively neighborhood gathering spot for locals and visitors. An all-day menu serves delicious brunch options like fluffy pancakes and classic favorites such as steak tartare. If you’re not hungry, it’s still a wonderful spot to enjoy a cocktail and admire the area’s cosmopolitan pedestrians.
  • You’ll have complimentary access to the on-site Third Space Health Club. One of London’s most prestigious gyms, the wondrous facility features a fitness center, a pool, exercise classes and a small spa.
