Royal Mansour Hotel Casablanca

Casablanca's restored art deco landmark
VERIFIED LUXURY
As you approach Royal Mansour Hotel Casablanca’s marble-columned entrance, you could be forgiven for thinking Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman were about to step out the front door. Housed in a refurbished 1950s-era property, the second outpost of Morocco’s Royal Mansour brand puts a vintage spin on over-the-top grandeur, creating a luxury hotel that feels charmingly like a place out of time.

But this refreshed retreat isn’t stuck in the past. A well-stocked bar (not a given in alcohol-averse Morocco) and a suite of upscale global restaurants cater to international jet-setters — as does a sensational spa. Apartment-style accommodations outfitted with all the required modern luxuries offer a spacious spot to rest your head after traversing the medina or one of the nearby beach clubs.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Royal Mansour Hotel Casablanca nails its first impression. The lobby is adorned in roughly 70 types of marble sourced from all over the world, as well as gold, bronze and a tank stocked with Amazonian fish.
  • The Casablanca hotel’s 149 accommodations are generously sized, ranging from nearly 600-square-foot rooms to more than 12,000-square-foot apartments. All are outfitted in a signature mid-century modern theme with glimmering bronze trim, sculptural furnishings and boldly patterned geometric textiles.
  • At more than 27,000 square feet across two floors, Spa Royal Mansour Casablanca is one of the city’s most expansive wellness spaces. The sanctuary features two traditional hammams, an infinity-edge plunge pool, a beauty salon and a fitness center that invite you to unwind thoroughly.
  • Should you need a beard trim, the 20th-floor Le Salon Barbier brings a refined, salon‑meets‑lounge energy to the Casablanca hotel, blending classic barber shop service with skyline panoramas.
  • Rather than feel like a secluded resort, the luxury hotel’s position near the medina, old market and central districts places you in the heart of Casablanca’s vibrancy, making it easy to explore iconic sites like the Hassan II Mosque or Corniche and return quickly to Royal Mansour’s vintage-inspired charm.

The Restaurants

  • Like its sister property in Marrakesh, Royal Mansour Hotel Casablanca features La Grande Table Marocaine as its signature dining experience. Expect sweeping skyline views from its 23rd-floor perch alongside elevated Moroccan classics like royal pastilla and fork-tender m’hamar lamb.
  • Under the guidance of acclaimed chef Éric Fréchon, La Brasserie brings French bistro fare to Morocco’s coast. Expect classics like pâté en croûte, sole meunière and beef tartare served in the white tablecloth-clad dining room or on the breezy terrace.
  • Illuminated by a striking Sakura blossom chandelier, Le Sushi Bar is the stage for chef Keiji Matoba’s precision sushi and sashimi that’s showcased through chef-selected omakase to thoughtfully composed bento boxes.
  • Le Rooftop serves striking Casablanca views from breakfast through late-night cocktails. It’s also a popular Sunday brunch spot, so be sure to reserve a table (or a couch) if you’re planning to indulge.
  • Mid-century modern decor and a jazz-leaning soundtrack set the scene for an evening of elevated cocktails and artfully presented small plates at The Bar.
