VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.

These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star

L’Auberge de Sedona is a place to escape in Arizona’s gorgeous Red Rock Country. The calming vibe of the luxury retreat is enhanced by the sound of water trickling over rock as the free-flowing Oak Creek courses through the 11-acre property.
Accommodations include cottages, cliff-side suites or cozy lodge rooms with views of the creek or craggy red rock panoramas. The natural, rugged setting offsets the luxurious hotel, which has become a place that attracts couples celebrating special occasions, families reveling in outdoor adventures, gal pals sharing a creekside lunch and businesspeople on renewing executive retreats.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- L’Auberge de Sedona’s location is second to none — it’s where Sedona’s lauded Red Rock Country meets the lush oasis of Oak Creek.
- Private shuttles whisk you to uptown shops, the galleries at Tlaquepaque or nearby restaurants.
- You could easily stay tucked away in front of a fireplace in one of the guest rooms, but you’d miss the resort’s natural, locally inspired spa treatments.
- The Sedona resort boasts a full roster of activities, which include tarot readings, meditation, sunrise yoga on the lawn or stargazing in dark skies filled with countless points of light.
- L’Auberge’s Cress on Oak Creek restaurant is a popular spot for its French-influenced, locally sourced fare and its appealing Sunday brunch (the main attraction, though, may be the chance to dine alfresco on the creekside patio).
Things to Know
- Tip: the rustic elegance of wood-burning fireplaces makes Creekside Cottages a natural choice for fall and winter escapes. In spring and summer, book a Vista Suite for sweeping Red Rock views.
- If you are a fitness buff, climb the stairs behind L’Auberge de Sedona straight up to main street Sedona.
- The restaurant's wine list is extensive and acclaimed, but you'll want to reserve time just for exploring its selection of Arizona wines, some produced in nearby Verde Valley.
The Rooms
- Guest rooms here are designed to bring the outdoors inside — eco-friendly fabrics in natural hues harmonize with views of the outdoors in all 62 accommodations.
- All suites offer indoor/outdoor living spaces including large decks for lounging. The cedar-lined outdoor showers and spacious bathrooms in the suites take rustic-chic bathing to a new level.
- Straight lines, bamboo flooring and comfortable seating give the Spa Cottages and Vista Cottages a more contemporary feel. Gas fireplaces, indoor and private outdoor showers and deep, jetted bathtubs add to the romance.
- The Creekside Cottages’ vaulted ceilings, heavy wooden headboards and oak floors exude more of the cozy, European cottage feel. (You’ll also be able to hear the creek from your outdoor shower.)
The Look
- The L’Auberge de Sedona aesthetic is a pleasing mix of provincial country and contemporary design.
- Spacious green lawns, shade trees and outdoor decks for dining and lounging are part of the magic at the luxury inn.
- At the restaurant, multi-leveled flagstone flooring, fireside tables and river rock make for romantic outdoor dining — and some of the most sought-after tables in stunning Sedona.
- High-style Arizona sunning can be had at the manicured pool area while nearby sycamores and oaks provide a shady respite for splashing in the landscaped creek area.
