Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa
A sleek seaside hideaway in St. Barts
VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.

St. Barts is known as a jet-set haven, but Le Barthélemy Hotel & Spa is the definition of quiet luxury. Designed to embrace its natural surroundings, the hotel’s 44 rooms and two private villas are discreetly tucked on one of the island’s finest stretches of sand, on the eastern edge of Grand Cul de Sac. The sister property to Champagne stunnerRoyal Champagne Hotel & Spa, Le Barthélemy beautifully blends French sophistication with the Caribbean’s characteristic laid-back culture, while giving back to the island through sustainable initiatives and activities like coral restoration and zero-waste cooking classes.
Bookended by a lagoon and beach, interior designer Sybille de Margerie (also behind Mandarin Oriental, Paris and Cheval Blanc Courchevel) infused the philosophy of French minimalism (a color palette of coastal shades and mix of wood tones throughout) while not overpowering the true highlight of the rooms — ocean views. Terraces put you steps away from the white-sand shore and crystal-clear turquoise water, punctuated only by a few boats bobbing in the distance.
